My name is Morupisi Ramokala, and I am the heart and voice behind Nomad Horizons Africa. I was born and raised in the borderlands of Mahikeng, South Africa, just a stone’s throw from Botswana, a country that has shaped both my spirit and my purpose. Growing up close to the Ramatlabama border, I lived with one foot in South Africa and the other reaching toward Botswana’s wilderness—an upbringing that instilled in me a rare connection to both cultures, landscapes, and ways of life.
From the vast Makgadikgadi salt pans, which shimmer like mirrors beneath the sun, to the labyrinthine waterways of the Okavango Delta, Botswana has always been more than a destination to me—it is a living story. It is where I found my inspiration to start this blog: a deep yearning to share the unfiltered beauty of Africa, to reveal its wildlife wonders, and to invite others into its heartbeat.
Why I Started Nomad Horizons
